The Grand American – the tradition takes root in its new location and continues to be the crown jewel of trapshooting. The grounds of the World Shooting Complex become familiar turf in its third year of existence and shooters feel right at home in this world class facility. Scheduled from August 6 -16 at the state of the art World Shooting Complex, this year’s Grand will host many well known shooters as well as new rising stars.
Vendors’ row will be the place to shop and see what new products are available. Join us on Saturday, August 9, for the Krieghoff 100 Handicap. One of the more popular events at the Grand, the K100, as it is known, offers the chance to win a new K-80 Trap Special featuring beautiful Plantation Scroll Nickel engraving and the new Pro Rib. The K-80 Trap Special Pro Rib brings a full pattern plus to the “head up” design of the Trap Special allowing shooters to keep those rising targets square in their sights. Designed with the trapshooter in mind, the Trap Special delivers the hallmark Krieghoff quality and craftsmanship built into every gun. Following the Krieghoff 100 Handicap, two numbers between 0 and 9 will be drawn at random. Shooters, excluding the event’s top scorers, whose scores end in either number will be called to the line to shoot off for the Trap Special. Ten targets, per round two from each post, will be thrown. Shooters with a perfect score will advance on to the next round until one final shooter with the highest score for the round is left.
